Brown Innovation for Health (est. 2016) enables students to innovate at the intersection of healthcare, technology and entrepreneurship. Every Spring, BIH runs Hatch Health, an incubator program that supports early-stage healthcare ventures at Brown University.

Healthcare decision-makers are consistently under a large amount of pressure to deliver quality care with limited resources. Factors such as an aging population, sharp rises in long term conditions, increased patient expectations, and the current global health crisis highlight a desperate need for healthcare innovation.

Every Spring, BIH runs an inaugural incubator where teams of undergraduate, graduate, and medical students at Brown University team up to tackle pressing healthcare issues. In close collaboration with our partners, BIH has developed a comprehensive venture incubator program that takes founding teams from idea to MVP in just 9 weeks. ​

Targeted Learning & Education

In close collaboration with our partners at the Brown-Lifespan Center for Digital Health and New England Medical Innovation Center, we have developed a comprehensive program for early-stage ventures. We help teams understand the fundamentals of their venture, and identify what key milestones they need to reach to propel them into the next stage of growth.
